Prompt 2: product orbit with a readable label. Both models started from the same first-frame image. 720p, 5 s, 16:9, sound off, first result from each. Left: Seedance 2.5 · Right: Kling 3.0.
Prompt 3: a person walking toward the camera. Same text prompt on both models; 720p, 5 s, 16:9, sound off, first result from each. Left: Seedance 2.5 · Right: Kling 3.0.

When should you use Seedance 2.5?

  • You need one long, continuous shot (up to 30 s).
  • You rely on many references: a product from several angles, a character sheet, a camera path from a reference video.
  • You want sound at no extra cost.
  • You're making hero shots where quality matters more than price.

When should you use Kling 3.0?

  • You're producing many clips and cost per clip matters.
  • You want a multi-shot sequence from one generation, with a prompt per shot.
  • You're on the Try plan, where Seedance isn't available.
  • Short social clips (5 to 10 s) where 720p is enough.

The verdict

Both models kept the product label readable and both handled a two-shot prompt. Kling 3.0 is faster and far cheaper (65 vs 235 tokens for a 5-second 720p clip), and its push-ins are clean, but it swapped our orbit for a push-in and its walking person glides instead of walking. Seedance 2.5 costs more, but its motion looks real, especially with people. Rule of thumb: explore and iterate with Kling, then render the final shots with people in Seedance.

For camera direction tips that work with both models, see camera movement prompts. More head-to-heads are in Comparisons.
